It was a s w e e t weekend at Temple Shirat Shalom. A celebration of “families” and “summer’s end” and “children” and “back to school.” The impending fall season always brings thoughts of new beginnings, the upcoming school year and High Holy Days. And for all of this, we celebrate.
How did we do this? Well, we did it with Ice Cream, of course. Last Friday’s Shabbat Service ended with a special Ice Cream Oneg welcoming back all of the TSS children and their families. Back from summer vacations and long lazy days. Hoping that all of the children of TSS have an excellent start to their school year. On Sunday of that very same weekend, TSS hosted an Ice Cream Bingo event at the Wescosville Recreation Center. There was a prize for every size, whether you were young or old … or just in between. A Bingo Party for kids and their adults. Although Bingo was the central theme of the day, Ice Cream made its appearance as well. A big thank you to Donna Iorio and her team for making the Bingo Party a huge success!
It was a very s w e e t weekend indeed.
